Hello! I’m Ege Kaan Işık.
I am a Software Development Specialist at Doğuş Teknoloji and a full-stack developer with a lifelong passion for technology. Originally from Ankara, I’ve been building my career in Istanbul since 2019.
I am deeply focused on Web AI, exploring how intelligent systems can transform the modern web landscape. As a Google Cloud Certified: Generative AI Leader and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certified professional, I am dedicated to building high-impact digital experiences that integrate cutting-edge AI directly into the browser. I stay at the forefront of this evolving field through both professional projects and continuous personal experimentation.
Academic Life
I graduated as an Honor Student from MEF University with a degree in Computer Engineering and a 3.42/4.00 CGPA. My academic journey was defined by a strong foundation in Data Structures, Operating Systems, and Web Technologies, consistently earning me a place on the Dean’s High Honor List.
Beyond the classroom, I focused on practical engineering projects that sharpened my technical skills and reinforced the value of collaborative development in the tech industry.
Work Experience
I am a Software Development Specialist at Doğuş Teknoloji, where I focus on cloud technologies, building CI/CD pipelines, and preparing projects for deployment, while also supporting frontend initiatives. Alongside my technical role, I serve as the Lead of the Developer Communities Guild, a voluntary initiative I founded to bridge the gap between our internal teams and the global developer ecosystem.
In my previous responsibilities at the company, I focused on integrating CMS systems (like Strapi) and building websites. My background also includes serving as an IT Assistant at MEF University and developing freelance applications in Java and Python. This evolution into cloud-native workflows makes me a versatile developer capable of managing the entire software lifecycle.
Community Works
Beyond my professional work, I am a GDG Istanbul and GDG Cloud Istanbul Organizer, where I actively shape impactful events like DevFest Istanbul and regularly share my expertise as a speaker. My commitment to fostering an inclusive tech environment is rooted in my history of community leadership.
Previously, I served as the GDSC Lead at MEF, organizing major learning opportunities for students, and was a Microsoft Learn Beta Student Ambassador. I also contributed to Developer MultiGroup before focusing my efforts on the GDG ecosystem. These roles have allowed me to build a broad network and drive collaborative growth across the developer community.
